This project brief was simple: provide the highest quality, proven decking solution for an outdoor room extension to bring the indoors of the home outside. The owner settled on plans with a high gabled roof, push back concertina doors, and the perfect link between indoors and outdoors, a 45m2 deck with double step down leading to the back garden area.
Our Dome-top Blackbutt decking was recommended and selected, with its unique 22/23/22mm x 140mm milled construction, along with 160mm x 22mm riser boards also out of Blackbutt. Brass screws for effect, combined with natural oil for longevity and a classic finish were incorporated.
The result is an outdoor space that allows Winter sun and Summer shade, the perfect combination to maximise Melbourne’s wonderful seasonal weather, and adds an extra dimension of space for a large and busy family.
