Our Client came to us via their Architect in Sydney. The brief was ‘Authenticity and Style, Durability and Texture’. French Oak Australasia supplied some key samples, both bevelled and non-bevelled, and from those samples, a non-bevelled, re-milled Recycled French Oak floor board was chosen.
Our joinery partner at Colonial Restorations, Mark Percival and his Team, carefully and expertly re-milled our Original Oak Wagon Boards, which are featured here on our website , from shiplap profile, random width, with bolt hole and everything, into beautiful 150mm x 20mm, T&G Recycled French Oak flooring.
The floor boards were then sent to site at the Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf Apartment project, were left for a couple of weeks to acclimatise, and then were installed, lightly coloured and sealed with multiple coats of hard wax oil by Oscar Castro and his Team at Austral Flooring.
