Our European Oak Parquetry was requested for this apartment refurbishment project at East Melbourne, just a stone’s throw from the world famous MCG.
The Client wanted a classic yet hardy floor, and selected our 400mm x 80mm x 19mm European Oak Parquetry in Herringbone block, which was installed, bespoke coloured and finished by a local craftsman.
A light, bright colour was applied, and multiple coats of hard wax oil in matte finish, to compliment the large open windows of the apartment, without reflecting too much direct sunlight.
100% grown, lumbered and milled in Europe, this Oak comes from our Mill supplier in Lithuania. The wood is sourced from multi-species plantation forests, FSC certified. We differentiate between our French Oak and European Oak supply, with French Oak coming only from the forests of France, and European Oak sourced from throughout Western Europe.
