Our Client in Canberra was recommended to us by a fellow ATFA member. We supplied them with our beautiful, solid French Oak Herringbone Parquetry, 100% grown and milled in Europe.
The Parquetry size is our very popular 600mm x 100mm x 19mm, solid block. It was installed direct stick method over a fully prepared concrete slab.
After a light sanding, Loba brand hard wax oil was applied, multiple coats, in a low satin finish, no colouring at all. The result is a beautiful, durable, safe and hardy low maintenance floor, which sets off the dramatic wall colour and contrasting white trims perfectly.
The Clients very cleverly set off the floor and framed it beautifully with our matching 100mm x 19mm borders, and used a double border at the door thresholds- brilliant and classic!
Also featured, is the flow of the floor right through the busy kitchen area. Over time, the only maintenance required with this time of floor will be a full buff and re-oil, a particularly easy task, much like the cut and polish of a car.
The very smart decision of the Client to use the Loba floor sealant also means high sunlight resistance, and easy re-application, if desired, in many years’ time.
